Lixa urban park

Lixa Urban Park is based on two fundamental themes: "Discover" and "Play". Discovering or finding something unknown, unraveling some mystery and curiosity in discovering something surprising and new. The users are led to discover: the Landscape of the “Green Wine” in the valleys of Felgueiras; the forest; the Bocage Landscape; reading in Leonardo Coimbra park. The "Play" theme means that users have fun in a lively way. The Park has valences to awaken in users the desire to play in situations such as: can we play with shoes; lost in the vineyard; climb to the skies in the filet; walk around in the sandpaper embroidery. The Lixa Urban Park is organized based on the biophysical constraints (topography, soil, vegetation, climate, expositions, slopes, etc.), cultural (Monte do Ladário) and social (positive and negative impacts that image of the area produces in the population). In general, Park consists of a set distinct spaces and linked together through a set of pathways that allow the user to travel and enjoy the entire Park. These connections provide advantage to all the potentialities of each place in the Park. In general, the spaces with greater relief correspond to: south square; north square; east square; embroidery Square of Lixa; the Meadows, the Wine and the Landscape of the Bocage; discover the Lixa wine; the Romanesque churches of Felgueiras; wc/café/extension of the Leonardo Coimbra library, and parking.
