Montedeiras park is located in the mountain of Montedeiras, the only mountain totally located in Marco de Canaveses. The park design is full of organic forms to convey the feeling of "walking in the nature". To do this, the design was adapted to the land characteristics and most of the walkways now have soft inclinations, thus ensuring universal circulation.
As you cross the Park, there is a transition between more fragmented areas to more homogeneous and bigger areas, in order to create conditioned/active playing areas, passive/contemplative recreational areas and spontaneous playing areas.
The Park includes a main building, ecological and integrated in the natural landscape, parkings, amphitheater for small events, picnic area, tables, benches, play areas, lawns and dynamic sculptures. The sculptures aim is to lead visitors to interact with the existing ecosystem in the mountain and to promote their approximation to the natural world, especially to three large groups of living beings: plants, birds and mammals.
